THE AMFORI NETWORK


Santino is an active member of amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). This association brings international companies together and supports its members in improving working conditions throughout their supply chains. This includes, for example, combating child labour, discrimination and modern slavery. External audits are carried out annually to ensure that the appropriate guidelines are followed. This enables both suppliers and customers to make responsible choices throughout the entire process.


Amfori is a sustainability initiative, not a certification system. Santino has been a member of amfori (an initiative of the Foreign Trade Association) since 2011. Amfori provides an international framework that helps members identify and address social and environmental risks, as well as human rights risks, throughout their supply chains. As a global business association, amfori aims to promote open and sustainable trade for more than 2,000 retailers, importers, brands and industry associations. Our mission focuses on three objectives:

  • improving human well-being
  • using natural resources responsibly 
  • promoting open global trade


As an active member, Santino aims to work together with amfori towards large-scale, positive change. This is achieved through two initiatives:  

  • amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)
  • amfori BEPI (Business Environmental Performance Initiative)


Amfori BSCI / BEPI

Santino is a member of amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). BSCI is committed to improving working conditions in global trade and focuses on social aspects. BEPI, on the other hand, focuses more on environmental aspects, such as energy & climate, waste and chemicals.
